Description
South Korean stocks ended higher on Monday on hopes North Korea and the U.S. might hold their summit after all.
The benchmark KOSPI added 18 points, or three-quarters of percent, to close at 2,478.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ closed eleven points or one-point-three percent higher.
U.S. markets were closed on Monday for Memorial Day.
In Europe, Britain's FTSE 100 was also closed as it was a bank holiday.
The pan-European STOXX 600 index shed zero-point-three percent.
