Sticky Vinyl Nightmare: before

This is how the vinyl between the front seats of my car looked like! Simply horrid! It started becoming stickier and stickier until it was impossible to clean any more! All the dirt would stick to it no matter what. I have tried everything: dishwasher liquid, vinegar, a cream cleaner, even baby wipes and kerosene, and nothing ever worked.

The vinyl have been looking like this for a couple of years now. :(

Today, I tried baking soda. I made a paste with baking soda and water and cleaned the vinyl with a brush. All the dirty sticky stuff came off quite easily!
