Steven Rickard - Thanatopsis

When I was an infant I was small and didn't have a clue.
Then i became a toddler and my body actually grew.
I started to mature but still kept an attitude as a teen.
As an adult hopefully I don't become grouchy and mean.
Then I am going to become wrinkly and bald.
On my deathbed I will be laying there not even hearing my name being called.
Hopefully my viewing is not all sad and full of gloom.
My grave better be huge and take up plenty of room.
Why does life seem to go by in the blink of an eye?
It goes by so fast that you feel like you did not even get to wave good-bye.
