Steven Parks - Homeless

You wake up and you are on the floor
no booze, no drugs, just no door
sad, embarrassed, full of despair
used to have all and now are bare
where is God and why is me
all was easy when I was free
all alone no where to go
all alone and all said no
God is great God is good
but now He is not understood
the park the car the bench the ground
sleep helps when it is found
lazy not sick is what they say
smart doctors find it not that way
pills will fix me if I can find
a way to get them and clear my mind
big house cars and nice John Deere
travel and success is gone I fear
avoiding friends to hide my tale
love my kids they never fail
regaining Faith and reading the book
and finding Hope where I did not look
God is great and God is good
and now He is here and understood.
