As co-owner of the Toronto underground label ALL BLAK Records, Steve Marto is drenched in expertise. Not only has his well-trained ear guided the explosive sets seen around the city, that same ear has helped to nurture new talent on ALL BLAK.

For this installment of Northmix, you see Steve’s flair in just that―both playing and listening. The bouncy yet dark tech-house is delivered like any expert would. There’s a generous portion of minimalism, a refreshing percussive balance and a batch of flawlessly timed vocal hooks that are sure to please the OCD in you.

Steve has beautified clubs with his music throughout Toronto, including nights at the after-hours gem Silo and a handful of ALL BLAK label exclusive nights at Switch Nightclub.

His clean-cut tech house has made him a dynamo amongst Toronto tech producers. We think it’s only the beginning.
