I walk across this lonesome trail, desperatlely trying not to fail
i turn my head and think i see, someone laughing but it's only me
wearing a pretty good disguise, i think i fool you but in your eyes
i see the mask that hides my fear, each and every time you're near
i squeeze my pillow late at night, thinking that i hold you tight
i wake to find it's only me, clinging tight to your memory
