Steve Armstrong - Life Ebbs Away...

My life, is like the path of the sun,
Rising with the deep red hues of my birth,
increasing in splendour, as time goes on,
filling the sky as I hit the prime of life.

Now, the day goes on,
and I grow weaker, older, more weary,
closer and closer to the ground,
and once again, like the sun,
I am a red hue, but now I change,
to the silvery glow of the moon
as my life ebbs away,
and death draws the curtain of my life.
