today we are away
from each other
and my heart feels
the sorrow in this
stay another day
my dear sweet lover
my heart thrills
for tomorrow's
sweet kiss
if i could make
everything right
in a second
that would take
much longer
than i'd choose
but your love
answers
what my heart beckons
and feels there's not
a second to lose
so forgive me
the last words
between us
i'm sorry
they came out
somewhat cross
but i hate
anything said
that doesn't mean 'us'
and senseless words
are always born
from sense of loss
