If you ask then I will say
I'd like to stay in bed today,
And for once succumb to sleep
To dream of lands so far away.
Leave me alone, cause I'm not home.
Please leave a message at the tone.
My sleeping spirit's out,
So tired of being alone.

And when I fall asleep thinking
About the way that it should be,
I see your face within my dreams.
I see you come away with me.
So let me dream...

I'll pick you up and put you in
The old rusty coffee tin
I call a car,
You call a magic carpet ride.
We'll go out and see a show,
Or dream of the future we don't know.
Don’t need to say
That things will always be the same.
And in the night I'll drive you back,
We'll say goodbye, and hit the sack.
Please get your rest
So I can see you once again.

And the next morning I'll awake,
The wretched daylight in my face.
I'll find the world that I despise
Is mine again...
