I am the music a simple spare note
I pierce through silence, set the dancers afloat
I am the rhythm, I am the rhyme
I am the music and wickedly divine

An acrobat hurling through circles of flame
I am the enemy the one who’ll take blame
Slither slither across that old stage
I am the curtain and I hide the same

I am the script but you must turn the page
I know there’s a difference in wisdom and age
I am dissected, and cut between the lines
Your searching for a meaning but there’s nothing left to find

The audience is me, now I’m in the crowd
I’ll listen to your voice, I hear it clear and loud
I watch with amazement as if I’m mesmerized
You love what you do and I see it in you eyes

I am the ticket I’ll lead you to your seat
And if I’m worth the money I’ll sweep you off your feet
I am the rose thrown upon the floor
I am just another act, its all a metaphor

I am an actor I love to pretend
I am a prophet who cannot see the end
I am a sequel there’s more to me then this
I’m the screech from broken violins

I am a writer, yet aren’t we all
I’ll get up and walk if I can take the fall
I am a poem, and I am a bird
I sit upon Pallas, nevermore is my word
