Modulated by the distance the weapons deadly howl
announces
then cuts a murderous swath across the infants brow...

Metal embedded matrix within the Mothers breast
she and child no longer live
to see the village burn

No fruited vines for dinner wine
no shady hammock rest

Ravaged and disfigured minds
structure falls apart
drowned in pain cursed by thought
clothed in bloody rags

A litany of drama screams
stirrers the barbarous life
of each and every sad soul
caught in this eternal night.
