Being Together Forever

..and since you went away
There’s an aching in my heart
It hurts me every day
To be so far apart
…and you now ask what cure
Exists for such a pain
we both want so much more
to live and love again

There’s only one way now
Since oceans now divide
I wish for your return
I prayed and how I cried
You are my one true love
Regardless of the past
You are and always were
..and so the dice is cast

I offer you my heart
To cherish and to share
Two roads I see ahead
One is to despair
The other is full of hope
I see you beckon me
I set off down the road
To be yours finally

Eventually two lives
Together though the years
Forever until we part
For one more journey dear
and on the other side
You will see my face
Eternally just yours
In that ‘Fantastic Place’
