Stephen De Marino - Denny Road
2 Views • Nov 09, 2014
Description
Haunts the Denny Road
Is is hot and dry
Fire Season
My travel takes me here
Remembering a decade ago
Tires hiss on asphalt
Reminds me
Young and blindly loving
The heat that summer
Chilled when compared
With linked hearts
Furiously passionate
Dark nights and bright days
Long walks and longer talks
Exploring each other body and soul
Forever
So we thought then
Summer and the following winter
Our love lasted its season
Then fell
Leaves in autumn when a tree sleeps
Whip in my truck's wake
Giving form to phantasm
On the Denny Road.
