Cold, grey, lonely, that's what's going on
It's 4 am on my clock
Silence all around no ones to talk
I slowly pen my moody thoughts
Amidst the faint resound of gunfire shots
How can I get through this day ahead
With no other thoughts, only you in my head
I slowly sip my tea filled mug
My only warmth and comfort I hug
But what I really need right here
Is you beside me to dry these tears
Every minute my mind does stray
Of being with you together well lay
I just can't stand to be apart
From the woman who has stolen my heart
Do others have these similar times
Stages of sadness, causing tear-filled, rhymes
Or is it just in my head, these thoughts freely roam
Inspired by my sweetheart who is waiting at home
My love my sweet I write this for you
Cherish it and keep it as I know you will do
Let it be known how much I care
And I'll always love you, on my life I swear
