Description
Through the forest the moon doth glow,
Reflected in the eyes of a grazing doe.
Trees droop their drowsy limbs,
As a deer laps at the river brim.
Ears twitch at creaking boughs,
Anticipating the morning bird's rows.
The king enters with robe glistening white,
Gazing with a regal head before vanishing from sight.
Lights from heaven twinkle through the floorboards of the sky.
Firey leaves fade and crumble where they lie.
In this twilight kingdom there is no time,
Only the sleepy whispers of our mother's rhyme.
