i've got a job where i spend my time
making shit - for nickels and dime
now I refuse to stay another year
'cos I aint got any more time to spare

saturday night my friends want me to
run around town like they all do
they ask me out to take another beer
but I aint got any more time to spare

i wanna write my words on a beach by the sea
where the peace of mind is surrounding me
hear the sound of the waves - the eternal sound
watch the flash of colours when the sun goes down

people with a hungry look in their face
are running around in the markedplace
and they me ask friendly to join them there
I answer I aint got no more time to spare

when the evening comes we close our door
we have dinner, TV and nothing more
well, that's the kind of life I really fear
'cos I aint got any more time to spare
