Stefanie Fontker - Smother
8 Views • Jun 16, 2014
Description
Her face is a forgotten one
Chewed out by the rest of her
It sits untouched and tired
Forlorn and ever so wizened
It is smarter than her heart
Her face sees more than love
The emotion so many use
To justify their wrongs
And their warped perception
Of the life all of humanity
Must learn to equally share
But still it does not have
Even the slightest say
In the politics of today
Because of where it is stuck
Along with her brain, buried
Deep beneath the sheets
She cannot see it when
It is so well attached to her
And to leave her sanctuary
Would be her greatest sin
There is not a mirror to lend
In this land she is imprisoned by
Trapped beneath a man
Who will only claim to love her
Hoping to keep only what he needs
