Counting Dandelions
dancing with the wind;
singing the sorrow
that lingers within.
Hold my breath
and close my eyes,
this moment is sliipping
i watch it pass by.

Counting Dandelions
listening to their sweet song.
my throat is all choked up,
so can't sing along,
but as i listen
the tears fill my eyes,
I weep upon my knees
to their silent lullaby.

Counting Dandelions
as the frost steals their lives.
I see fewer of them,
from the ticking of time.
And though the beauty's gone,
from winters no mercy,
i still await for
the beauty of spring.
