Steamy Shade

In 1961 Tellbed Hussford, an aspiring international singing sensation, had his career cut short on his return from the small Island of Laya Weeni 1500km west of the Galapagos islands and 3000km ENE of Tahiti.

Tellbed had just finished making a short film that he hoped would launch a successful music career. Island hopping, on the trip back to Costa Rica, his helicopter crashed. The exact reason for the tragic loss of the two lives, Tellbed and his pilot, remains a mystery to this day.

Recently the film was partially restored and his song "Steamy Shade" brought back to life due to the efforts of a dedicated audio engineer and video technician.
