“It is a good thing to let another generation know what a steam locomotive is” Reading & Northern 2102 is doing her best to make the above quote a reality. The sound and power that the 2102 is producing in this video while pulling a heavy 19 car excursion train in the rain is some of the best steam railroading we’ve ever seen. Engineer Shane Fredrickson and fireman Ryan Bausher have the engine dialed in to make it over the hill. It’s all business in the cab fighting wheel slips and keeping the pressure up but we can almost guarantee, the crew will have a smile on their face once they crest the hill.
