Stealth Cat Sneaks Up On Owner
Description
The funny stealth cat move and stop so silently and bashful when the owner record up and down to see how the cat move closer to him
I have a story want to tell you, my daughter has a Siamese female who clumps, sounds like she’s walking in boots and she falls off things. She’ll lie down on a bookcase or shelf & wake up & roll over & fall off. The only cat I’ve ever seen who stomps or clumps when walking. We each have three cats & have always had multiple cats & this one is unique & she’s always been a klutz & she’s 10 years old now. I have her sister & she walks as silent as a ghost.
So how do cats can walk in silently? Soft paws, retractable claws.
Try walking on some hardwood or tile barefoot. Probably makes some sound, but not much, since your feet don’t click against the floor like shoes or dog paws.
Try it with shoes. That’s like dog paws, with their hard claws clicking against any and every little surface. Of course, dog paws aren’t completely hard, but it serves the point.
Now try it with socks. If you don’t slide your feet, which cats don’t, then it’s probably even quieter. It gives your feet a nice cushion—something like how a cat’s fur would.
See how the claw can go back into the toe? That’s so that they can stalk their prey silently, without worrying about claws catching or clicking.
See how the fur comes between the toes, making a soft cushion? That makes it so that, if their paws are sweaty—and cats do sweat through their paws—they don’t make the sticking sound your bare feet might.
Cats are also pretty small animals at around 8 pounds. That’s about the same weight as holding 10 average cans of soup. They walk and run smoothly, which means their paws don’t thump on the floor like a person’s might.
Keep in mind that a cat’s weight is distributed through four limbs, whereas a person only has two
They walk so quietly because they’re light, their paws are soft, and they don’t thump.
