She was the perfect student, the top of the class
The best mannered girl, the prettiest of all
Little did anyone know she wasn't what she seemed
She lead a double life

Amy didn't live the fairy tale life
Her home wasn’t the safest place
It wasn’t the humble home she longed for
When she would get home she knew of what laid in store for her
She lead a double life

Amy lived each day as if it were the last, she had no other choice
She hid the pain, the humiliation and the disgrace of what her life truly was
She lead a double life

Poor Amy had to pretend her life is perfect
That everything was just quite right,
When the reality was a sad lie
She lead a double life

For when night fell upon the city streets,
Amy’s joy would vanish because she had to sell herself in the darkness of night
No one ever stopped to wonder about that beautiful young girl in the corner, under the glowing dim lit street
No one ever knew the true Amy the sad, and broken tortured girl
Everyone just knew the perfect popular pretty girl from school, the honor roll student, the kind sweet girl
No one ever knew the truth about Amy because she lead a double life......
