Star Trek Discovery Timeline Theory

I'm looking forward to the new Star Trek Discovery TV show, but there's a couple of issues I am annoyed about.

I don't like the fact that Discovery looks more advanced than Star Trek the original series or event TNG, but I offer one of my theories as to why everything has looked more advanced ever since Star Trek Enterprise.
