Stanley Cooper - A Promise
2 Views • Jun 14, 2014
Description
Subject my poetry reading friends
To poems too amateurish
Or verse too deja-vu-ish
So never again will I ever write
Poems that might be considered trite
Or compose frustratingly ad-hoc
To lament my deja-vu-ish, rhyming block
I’ll have to take a forced vacation
A decision made with no elation
I can’t write today, I say with sorrow
To keep my promise, until tomorrow
