Standoff outside Parliament, students arrested
Description
After a standoff outside Parliament, police arrested 16 students seeking Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's resignation.
The students, known as #Langkahsiswa, who were holding a sit-in outside of Parliament refused to budge despite appeals by Kuala Lumpur City Hall.
Sentul OCPD R Munusamy said police gave the students more than 24 hours.
"Forcing someone to resign through street demonstration is illegal," he announced.
