Stand Up For Women Event

Meet Jessica Starr, the Founder of Women in Transition Services. She is on the Daily Mix to talk about Stand up for Women, a free one-day event aimed at helping women overcoming challenges in finding resources and employment opportunities to support themselves and their families. The three most common barriers are daycare, transportation, and housing. At this event, there will be a great variety of resources for helping women overcome barriers to independence. All attendees will have access to representatives from community based organizations, healthcare services, colleges and employers. There will also be free clothing, food, self defense, general legal counsel, resumes reviews, massages, enrollment in cash and nutrition assistance and much more!. This free event will be held on April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fresh Start Women’s Foundation located at 1130 E. McDowell Road Phoenix, Arizona.
