One’s circumstances were communal
And thefts inwardly odd
Incest was unimaginable
Adultery wasn’t thought of
And conjugal cruelty unheard of
The moon was our nocturnal companion
While life agrarian
In those good old days

Enmity was for a moment
With brotherly love as a norm
All men were brothers
And women sisters
Married men were loving husbands
To wives so caring
Children were obedient
During those good old days
