Stackridge — Friendliness 1972 (UK, Progressive, Folk Rock)
46 Views • Dec 26, 2025
Description
After the release of their debut album, Walter returned to the band, and Warren and Davis, who had been supporting him, were able to focus on their own instruments. In the fall of 1972, "Friendliness" was released, not only in England but also in America. On this album, the band expanded their sonic palette, incorporating experiments with blues, reggae, and music hall. Unfortunately, despite overwhelming critical praise, sales of the first two albums were moderate, and George Martin was brought in to rectify the situation.
