Stacey Williams - Sad Farewell

If I could ask forgiveness
If I could pray for an answer,
If truth had rhythm
And I was the dancer.

I would dance to save you
To save you from me,
I would move till they take you
Until you are set free.

I’m sorry for the disturbance
For the noise and turmoil I’ve caused,
It breaks my heart each moment
With each footstep you see my flaws.

This final foible
This last knife that I drive,
My gift is to dance away
Just to survive.

So I dance to leave thee
Leave thee in peace,
To prevent more confusion
And make my inflictions deceased.

Although there is sadness
Floods of tears as we part,
I shall think of you fondly
And keep you in my heart!
