St Lucia: Amputees Program

Amputees in St. Lucia and the eastern Caribbean can now benefit from access to affordable prosthetic limbs, manufactured in the island. It's a project by the national council for persons with disabilities and comes amid what officials describe as 'alarming' amputation statistics due to diabetes.
