Spider Silk Ready For Mass Production

Scientists from The University of Wyoming under Professor Don Jarvis have successfully genetically modified silk worms to combine components of spider silk with their own silk to create a composite material with mass appeal. This could be the solution to the demand for spider silk, which has countless uses beyond just helping Spider-Man. Patrick Jones explains why silk worms are the answer.
