Speed up your Ares downloads

Ares is a great program for downloading files from the internet. Having said that, you might not always be transferring files as quickly as you could be. I’ll show you a very simple technique designed to speed up the download rate in Ares.

You start by going into the Control Panel and click on the Transfer tab. In the ‘Accept incoming connections’ field, change the value to 23456. Now go down to the ‘Transfer’ section and change the maximum number of uploads to 25. Change the number of uploads per user to 10, then go down and change the number of permitted downloads to 100.

Go back to the file transfer window and you should notice a significant increase in the download speed of anything you’re downloading.
