Spectacular downhill longboarding crashes

A terrifying video has emerged of a series of spectacular collisions during Sunday's 2014 Urban Descent downhill longboading race in Durban, South Africa.

In the first incident, rider Jed Kenny crashes into hay bales at the side of the track and then ends up in the middle of the course. Kenny tries to get out of the way of onrushing riders but is hit at high speed by fellow competitor Simon Paton.

On the same corner, Stephen "Purple" Hayes falls in the path of two other riders who hit him directly in the head.

Fortunately, none of the riders were seriously injured. Kenny suffered broken bones in his leg while Hayes escaped with concussing and some bruises.
