Spain plays it cool, markets respond

Brussels, Oct 19 (EFE).- The Spanish government is in no urgent need of a financial rescue from its European partners, saying it will wait until the European Central Bank has worked out its bond-buying scheme before making a decision. That was Spain's message at the start of a European Council meeting in Brussels And with strong demand and lower interest rates for Spanish bonds in an auction on Thursday, Spain has been given more breathing room.
