South Park Hamper Shut Down

Hundreds of people lined up to collect food hampers outside the South Park Mall, in San Fernando, Friday morning.

But they were turned away, a few hours later.

The mall's management invited people, who lost their jobs, due to the pandemic to come out for free hampers.

As reporter -- Cindy Raghubar-Teekersingh tells us people started lining up from as early as 5:30am.

That led to police breaking up the crowd.

And, shutting down the distribution altogether.
