Description

An HIV treatment programme in South Africa is saving the lives of 70,000 babies every year.

The programme started 10 years ago, after health campaigners won a court battle with the government.

Since that time, the anti-retroviral drug Nevirapine has been given to pregnant women free of charge.

Al Jazeera's Tania Page reports from Johannesburg, South Africa.
