Soundgarden reunites

Three years after reuniting, Seattle rock band Soundgarden have released their new album 'King Animal'.

Credited for the creation of 'grunge' in the late 1980s, Soundgarden won two Grammy Awards in 1995 before deciding to split two years later.

Bassist Ben Shephard is surprised they reformed.

"I didn't think we'd get back together, I knew we'd do business together the rest of our lives but I didn't think we'd be a band."

Drummer Matt Cameron says their fan base now is a mix of old and new.

"We are getting like some younger fans out you know maybe they are kids or from our older fans or they're younger generation is learning about the band, I definitely like seeing that at our shows."

Their sixth studio album, 'King Animal' will be released in the U.S. on November 13.
