The purpose of existence
A life within life
Curling every necessity around its presence
New feelings, sapping yet a blissful strife.
The entire creation of the sublimed clay
Miracle of miracles, regenerating emotions
Revoking humility, compelling to pray
Instilling, teaching sacrificing satisfaction
The joy of being kicked by the ticking core
The excruciating- tearing of self to hear the first cry
And a tender tigress, obliviously lived on.

Oh! The wakeful hours of constant employ
No sense of sunny day or starry night
The world revolving around a bundle of joy
The sheer wonder and tears for the sight-
Of rosy smile seeming heavenly scintillations
Miniscule fingers entwining the cynic heart
Trapping sunshine of hope and regeneration
Wounded soul thirsting to hold and kiss
As if seeking the mesmerizing elixir of bliss
And a mother hen restlessly lived on

Like pages of an album, fading
Years, pass by in a rush of toiling wonder
Chirping eaglets from the nest- now overgrown
Have flown away, trained to soar yonder.
Time now slowing its pace, tricking the sands
Through reminiscences and endless wait
For, loved ones- lost in maze of prosperity.
A new pain of disability to dependence
But one day a voice calls out-
'Granny I am here'
And a withering owl dreamily lived on.

The seconds turn to hours, hours to days
Days to months, months to years
Years to decades, decades to centuries
And for endless centuries-
Similar species have soulfully lived on.
