Soul Clap return to Classic for round three with ‘Run It EP’, this time hitting a little harder with some future funk. The Boston duo call on fellow label mates Hammer & Tongs on co-production on the title track, as well as hip-hop producer Baby Bam from the Jungle Brothers whose killer rap vocals are underpinned with an overblown booming bassline and funked-out synths. ‘Next’ boasts all things weird and wonderful, embodying the spirit of Lil Louis, for a Chicago tinged work out for even more lurid ecstasy on this standout release.
