Une vie de crime semblait inévitable pour Jecko. Métis québécois d’origine haïtienne, il est témoin à l’âge de huit ans du meurtre de sa mère commis par son père, un événement tragique qui le marquera à jamais. Ballotté d’une famille d’accueil à une autre, Jecko trouve enfin le sentiment d’appartenance qu’il recherchait depuis longtemps lorsqu’il commence à traîner avec de jeunes voyous habitant le quartier Saint-Michel. Quelques années plus tard, le crime et la violence ont mené Jecko au sommet d’un empire. Dans ce monde où richesse et respect s’obtiennent par la voie des armes, il est comme un poisson dans l’eau. Plusieurs événements vont néanmoins lui faire reconsidérer ce chemin qu’il croyait paver pour lui. Mais ne sort pas de Saint-Michel qui veut.
