Sophia Alexopoulos - Porcelain

Perfect, pretty picture
a doll on display
perched on a pedestal
day after day
eyes that shine like glass
smile too wide to laugh
heart that's beating, fiercely bleeding
breaking inside

No one can feel her pain
they only see her pretty face
so for now she will remain
trapped in her gilded cage
hoping one day
she'll break away
freed from the bond of this
beautiful prison.
