Sons Help With Demo Day

: "My husband and I were deconstructing or 'demo-ing' our deck to make way for a new deck and decided to have the kids help us. We encouraged the kids to take the very first swings at the deck. One of them wasn't as enthused as the other which is why I encouraged them, 'It's exciting!' I, after all, hated that deck. Unfortunately, despite lining up his swings, my older son missed the railing but hit his hand on the rail and released the hammer. The hammer flipped out of his hand, spun in the air, and the handle hit him on the head. He overreacted to the hit because he is hilarious (no he did not actually collapse to the ground). I laughed but immediately turned off the video to be sure he was okay. He was fine and we have all laughed a lot about it since. He also did a lot of work to finish the demo including destroying that railing. We now have a gorgeous new deck!"
