Being in your arms,
The best thing you could do for me,
Is letting me stay there for a while.
Just you holding me,
Nothing else.
Your stomach rising and falling,
My ear on you chest,
Listening to your heartbeat.

Nothing could make this better.
But it was all gone in an instant.
Everything gone,
My life falling apart.
No more arms around me,
No steady heartbeat to listen too.
Everything silent,
Everything empty.
Nothing but memory's,
But even those are growing faint.
