sleepless nights are peace less too
eluded by sleep engulfed by thoughts
runs back the memoirs to childhood days
while scenes open up one by one
loved and hated all fill the mind
games and fights unfolds its bind
the parents, the teachers, the elders
the friends, the siblings, the events
unbound the mind with veiled memories
the love, the warmth, the thrills
the joy, the fears everything props up
leaving the eyes in moisture
heavier becomes the heart
as exist many no more to contact
craves the heart for their warmth
shudders the body for their touch
finding all this never to happen
restless mind awaits the sleep
