Smoky Hoss - Break

I jump, up
into the air.
I do it again
only higher this time,
as high as I can; there!
there it is.
I know I heard it,
when all my weight, all
of my force
at the zenith of my own velocity, arose,
the earth
sighed.
Very softly.
Very gently.
Very gratefully.

Even the earth
needs a break,
once in awhile.
