Opisyal nang iniurong ng Commission on Elections (COMELEC) sa Pebrero ang simula ng election period para sa Sangguniang Kabataan. Ito'y habang hindi pa rin pinal ang desisyon kung maiilipat ang SK elections sa Oktubre 2016.
