After speaking about his Swachch Bharat campaign and how ordinary citizens have been inspired by it, PM Modi decided to address the elephant in the room - the NDA government's action on black money. It is important to point out here that Modi, prior to winning the elections had continuously criticised the UPA government for nurturing corrupt politicians and industrialists who have crores stashed away abroad as black money. He had promised to crack down upon the black money hoarders the moment he became PM.
