My spirit's strong
But my heart is weak
As a single tear
Rolls down my cheek

It doesn't matter
Which way I go
I'm not able
To leave this hole

The load I carry
Seems to grow
It's weighing down
On my soul

Happiness seems
An allusive dream
In the opposite side
Of the stream

When is it
That we decide
To let go
No longer try

Somehow I must
Accept my fate
To only dream
While I'm awake
