Alle sechs Monate trifft sich eine Gruppe Insassen im Sing Sing Gefängnis, um ein Theaterstück zu erarbeiten. Geleitet wird die Gruppe von Divine G (Colman Domingo) der dieses Mal ein neues Mitglied rekrutiert: Divine Eye. Der sorgt direkt für reichlich Wirbel als er vorschlägt, diesmal eine Komödie auszuführen. Das Theaterprogramm basiert auf einem realen Rehabilitationsprogramm in Sing Sing.
