To tourniquet your ebbing trust
I could trace your illness to your bones
Where there is uncleanliness
The spotted pox of dishonest lovers
Feeds and festers
Banqueting in the dark
On your vaulted hurt and sadness

If you allow my healing hands to touch you
I could place a key gently by your fist
To unlock the solitary chambers of your heart
So you may stand with me in the sun
